Beatriz began her career in education as an ESL teacher of Latino adults in Boston’s South End. Teaching then led her to develop and lead new schools and programs in both non-profit community-based organizations, and public schools in Boston.
Besides her direct work with students and faculty, she has also been a Leadership Coach to district superintendents, administrators, principals and faculty, and facilitated participatory processes whereby schools and organizations can make strategic planning decisions that will transform culture and climate, and ultimately, students’ educational outcomes.
Beatriz is also the author of two children’s books: Fiesta! and Three Kings’ Day. She also balances her work by staying healthy through fitness, making and enjoying art, playing and enjoying music, cooking, and staying connected to nature and family. Less…
